Lake Sunapee Engagement Session at Clark’s Lookout and the Newbury Docks

I met Gabrielle and Shawn for their Lake Sunapee Engagement session in September, a year before their wedding. I an honored to photograph their special day this fall, and it was such a treat to meet and get to know them before their big celebration. We made stunning engagement images with beautiful views of Lake Sunapee at the Newbury Harbor town docks and at Clark’s Lookout, which offers a wide view of the lake and mountains.

The docks at Newbury Harbor were a lovely and peaceful setting for their engagement session. They offered a pretty view of Lake Sunapee and the few boats that dotted the water that day. The stairs and the foliage that peeks out on the side of the dock made for a great composition as they snuggled together. The warm tones of the wood and water nicely reflected light back up at them to give the gentle airy look of these images. The day was overcast providing soft light to show off the detail of the lake, which can be hard to capture in bright light situations. The pastel sky complimented Gabrielle and Shawn’s look so well!

They brought along their sweet French Bulldog who tried very hard to steal the show! So cute! Look at that bowtie 🙂 I’m glad they included him in these special memories.

I’m excited to see Gabrielle and Shawn again for their garden wedding at The Fells Estate this fall. I know their day will be full of love, laughter, and beauty, just like them!
