White Mountains Engagement Session | Sugar Hill with Samantha and Chris

Sugar Hill is famous for its sprawling fields of lupine that bloom in June, but the area is stunning in every season with its mountain views. I shared an incredible White Mountains engagement session with Samantha and Chris in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire in September. Though it was the start of fall, this session bursts with summer vibes. These two are adorable and so cozy and happy together. I am thrilled to capture their December wedding day at The Grafton Inn.

Why a White Mountains Engagement Session?

A White Mountains engagement session in New Hampshire offers a romantic and breathtaking backdrop for photography. Here are five reasons to choosd this location for an engagement photo shoot:

  1. Natural Beauty: The White Mountains are renowned for their stunning landscapes, featuring rugged mountains, dense forests, and beautiful waterfalls. This provides a diverse range of scenic backdrops for engagement photos.
  2. Seasonal Variety: Each season offers something uniquely beautiful. Spring brings blooming flowers and lush greenery, summer offers bright, long days perfect for sunset photos, fall showcases spectacular foliage with vibrant colors, and winter turns the landscape into a snowy wonderland, ideal for cozy, romantic shots. (Though a bit more challenging to access in winter)
  3. Iconic Locations: The White Mountains are home to famous spots like Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast, the picturesque Kancamagus Highway, and beautiful Echo Lake. These locations can add a dramatic and memorable element to your photos.
  4. Privacy and Seclusion: Unlike more urban settings, the White Mountains can provide more privacy and a sense of seclusion, allowing couples to feel more comfortable and intimate during their photo session. However, expect crowds in some locations during peak seasons!
  5. Adventure and Fun: For couples who love the outdoors and adventure, this location offers the added opportunity to incorporate activities like hiking, canoeing, swimming, snowshoeing–you name it!–into their engagement session, making it a more dynamic and fun experience.

The White Mountains provide not just a backdrop, but an experience that can make engagement photos truly unique and personal. As your engagement photographer, capturing the essence of a couple’s relationship in such a majestic setting is incredibly rewarding.
