Emma & Stephen | Boston Seaport Engagement Session | Boston Wedding Photographer
Emma & Stephen’s Boston Seaport engagement session was one of the highlight sessions of my fall! I captured photos of them together along the Harborwalk and Fan Pier Park, followed by a visit to their rooftop deck at sunset, which made for unique and romantic images that felt highly personal to their style as a couple. The Boston Seaport is a breathtaking location for an engagement session. With the stunning backdrop of the Boston city skyline and the picturesque harbor, it’s no surprise that they chose it as the perfect setting for their engagement session. Emma and Stephen met during the height of COVID. Throughout this time they spent many hours walking outdoors in the city. The Seaport along with other spots in the city are a fixture in the narrative of their relationship.
Emma and Stephen were all smiles as we strolled the Harborwalk, stopping at different locations for photos. The beauty of the water and buildings provided an amazing setting for capturing their love and connection.
One of the greatest moments of the photoshoot was capturing the couple against the backdrop of Boston harbor and skyline. The sparkling water, ships and skyline, and dream backlight created a romantic and serene atmosphere for the couple’s love to shine.
As the sun began to set, we headed to the Emma and Stephen’s rooftop deck where they had planned a sunset cocktail and pizza party! After a quick wardrobe change, the couple brought out pizza from their favorite shop, complete with all their favorite toppings–ham and pineapple–which happen to be my favorite toppings too! The view from the rooftop deck was stellar and the sunset added a soft glow that adds to the relaxed summer evening vibe for this portion of their engagement session. I had them clink glasses to create a close-up images of Emma’s beautiful engagement ring. More and more I photograph rings on the hand during sessions, however when there are elements nearby to do so, I will also photograph the ring on its own.
Later, Emma & Stephen showed off their dance moves on the rooftop, laughing together. I could envision so clearly the wonderful times they’ve spent on their deck together, and I’m glad they chose to include this special spot in their session.
As the sun began to set, the sky was painted with shades of pink and orange, creating another gorgeous scene for a few romantic shots. The couple snuggled up together, enjoying the moment and taking in the stunning view. The Boston skyline in the background and the warm glow of the sunset cast a romantic atmosphere over everything.
Emma and Stephen’s Boston Seaport engagement session was an unforgettable experience. I applaud them for bringing so much of their story together as a couple into this session, and I can only imagine how truly special their wedding will be in the coming months. It was an honor to capture their love and joy on camera, and the essence of their relationship in these images.
