Shelburne, Vermont Engagement Session

In this beautiful Vermont engagement session in Shelburne, I had the joy of photographing a childhood friend and her fiancé as they begin their journey together as an engaged couple.

We were a couple years apart in school and I know her mom, a fellow photographer, from many years back. They reached out when I was on the heels of taking a break from my business. I was so excited to photograph them, I knew I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. While I hadn’t seen my friend since we were teenagers, seeing her again and meeting her fiancé felt like hanging with besties I see everyday.

I work with all my couples and families to scout locations to match their vision. Since I knew they spent time in the Burlington area, I suggested Shelburne Farms for its architecture and views of mountains and Shelburne Bay. It was serendipitous that this couple had spent occasions at the Inn and grounds. The farm is not only dear to them, but special to their family, as well.

We had a gorgeous day on the cusp of fall. We stopped by the coach barn, the waterfront, and the Inn and formal gardens. We caught a stunning sunset toward the end of our time together. It will be such a joy to capture their celebration as husband and wife!
