Located in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains in the quiet town of Chittenden about 30 minutes from Rutland and within reasonable driving distance of Burlington, Boston, and New York City, making it an accessible mountain destination for couples and their guests.
01. Getting Ready Space
There are so many stunning options for capturing those fun and beautiful getting ready moments. Whether you are staying at the main hotel or have rented a lodge, the setting is gorgeous—including the outdoor spaces that are perfect for wedding party, family, and first look photos.
02. The Ceremony
While there are a few options, I’ve photographed ceremonies on the famous knoll, and on the patio. Theres an incredible view at both!
03. Cocktail Hour & Reception
Cocktail hour and the reception are a lively and picturesque event. Guests love taking selfies during this time, and the tavern and reception barn offers warmth from the elements. Some of my favorite reception moments have been captured at Mountain Top Resort, where it’s always sparkling inside the reception barn.
04. Portrait Options
It’s easy to see that the draw of Mountain Top Resort is the mountains and fields, but there’s also a beautiful beach and lake, and beautiful woods. There’s truly no shortage of stunning settings for your portraits, at any time of day.
