Lake Sunapee Garden Estate Wedding at The Fells

Gabrielle and Shawn’s garden estate wedding at The Fells, a stunning New Hampshire wedding venue nestled in the forest close to Lake Sunapee, unfolded with elegance and lovely moments in a lush, historic garden setting. The day began at the Bluebird hotel, where Shawn and his friends gathered and readied for the day. Next, on to Gabrielle’s preparations at home, capturing the anticipation of getting ready, from hair and makeup to slipping into her Mikaella Bridal dress with its timeless bateau neckline.

Wedding Ceremony at John Hay Estate at The Fells, Newbury, NH

Before the ceremony, the bridal party enjoyed portraits with Gabrielle inside the historic estate with it’s beautiful staircase and outside in the garden. The ceremony was set in the rose terrace garden’s lush greenery, with Lake Sunapee and the mountain in view, creating a picturesque setting for their vows filled with music from a string quartet.

Post-ceremony, the newlyweds, wedding party, and family were photographed within The Fells’ breathtaking landscape. The wedding party paraded down through the rock garden, a highlight of the grounds, toward the heather beds for group photos. After romantic “just married” portraits, Gabrielle and Shawn shared a private peek at their reception space, overflowing with florals, beautifully brought to life by their planner, Jennifer Matthews from Memorable Events. The reception of dinner, catered by The Porch, heartfelt speeches, and dancing brought to life by Denon & Doyle, ended with a joyful bubble exit for Gabrielle and Shawn.
