Woodstock, Vermont Engagement Session | Catherine & Tom

A Woodstock, Vermont engagement session is hard to beat any time of the year. Even on a chilly spring day with a rain shower, Woodstock town is a classic Vermont backdrop for an engagement session.

Catherine and Tom, who will marry in August at The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm, visited the area for their tasting and we planned their engagement session for while they were in town.

Despite the weather, their attitudes were of joy and optimism, and it shows in their images! I always hope for the best weather for my couples, and reschedule as needed. New England weather can change fast, and given the soggy summers and late spring snowstorms, we have learned to embrace the elements. And embrace it, they did! I am grateful for these romantic, cozy images inside the Woodstock Inn, and outside with the umbrella. They display Catherine and Tom’s enduring spirit as a couple, and add a sweet element to their images. Thankfully, we had some earlier moments by the covered bridge and on the green before it rained. Giving the images the best of both; lightness and sweet and a bit of drama.
