Sunapee, New Hampshire | Maternity Photo Session at The Fells

Jessica and Paul booked a bundled maternity and newborn session ahead of the birth of their daughter due this May. They chose to hold their maternity session at The Fells, near Lake Sunapee in Newbury, New Hampshire. It’s always beautiful there, even in April when the foliage and blooms have not quite made their appearance. The rhododendrons at The Fells create a magical avenue of green any time of the year, I can always count on that even when the trees are bare. This is perhaps my favorite spot for portraits, especially in late May when they all open up! It’s just a dream. Some of my favorite images of these two are on the veranda. The white columns go far to brighten up the overcast weather we had, and the architecture allows for pleasing composition. Jessica and Paul were patient and kind with me, and I loved getting to know them as we photographed throughout the grounds. They are so excited for the birth of their first child, and I can’t wait to meet her too!
