Claremont, NH | High School Senior Portraits at Moody Park
Hunter graduates in the spring of 2021 from Fall Mountain High School in New Hampshire. I met with him and his parents on a cool, Sunday in October for his senior portraits at Moody Park in Claremont. We took the short walk up the hill to the stone pavilion and to enjoy views of Mount Ascutney. Hunter appears so easygoing—if he was at all tired of me taking hundreds of pictures of him, he certainly never showed it!
The images at the stone pavilion are some of my absolute favorites from the session, as well as portraits with the pine and view of Mount Ascutney. Having architecture and something to lean and sit on is an easy way to create variety in a senior session. Between the picnic tables, birch trees, stone, and views, Moody Park has a lot to offer in this regard. The entrance to Moody Park is quite ethereal, especially in the morning fog. We didn’t shoot there on this day, but I included some landscapes of the park entrance because it’s absolutely beautiful.
While we started the session at 11 am, we had more than enough shade to diffuse the midday light. I avoid shooting at this time of the day since the sun can be too harsh. But we made it work beyond what I expected! It was a perfect day, and we shared many laughs. He put on his jersey and tossed around the football, and we even grabbed some family photos with parents.
Best wishes on your journey ahead, Hunter!
