Daniel contacted me in the early fall of 2020 to plan an anniversary photo session for him and his wife, Alejandra. They originally hoped to have the session in November, but had their heart set on snow. We rescheduled their date a couple of times due to weather, holding out for the right setting for them. On one of our re-scheduled dates, a HUGE snowstorm hit New England dropping three feet of snow across the Upper Valley. While they had the winter wonderland we dreamed of, it was too dangerous to venture out. Finally, we found a day soon after when we could safely navigate the roads and capture winter’s beauty in the background of their special anniversary images.
This couple was so sweet and patient throughout the entire process. Daniel had a back up location scouted, which saved the day. Initially we hoped to shoot at Trues Ledges, but the parking lot was not plowed. Thankfully, he found a lovely bridge on a quiet dirt road, nestled in a perfect winter scene, complete with a river and snow-covered evergreens.
I am forever impressed by how warm and cozy they made 20-degree weather look.
I am so excited when everything comes together for my clients. Yes, New England weather can be hard to predict, and I’m willing to ride it out until conditions are perfect for us to create the images you are dreaming of.
