Woodstock Vermont Engagement Session in Early Spring

What season is best for a Woodstock Vermont engagement session?

The short answer is any season is beautiful for an engagement session in Woodstock, Vermont. The town shines at any time of the year, even when the snow isn’t fully melted, and edging on stock season! Just look at this beautiful light!

Michal and Juliana planned a trip to celebrate their spring engagement. I was excited to work with Michal to surprise Juliana with an engagement photo session in Woodstock. Woodstock offers much variety for portraits, all within walking distance in this charming Vermont town. All the highlights are nestled close together. We visited Middle Covered Bridge and my favorite vantage point of it from along the Ottauquechee river. We stopped by the front gates of the Woodstock Inn, and created playful and beautiful portraits among the stonewalls and pathways at Faulkner Park. It was chilly, but manageable for a shoot. You can never be sure what the weather will bring in the spring, and unsurprising to see snow still on the ground so close to April. While the weather is variable, days are longer making it easier to find golden pockets of light around town. Michal and Juliana’s expressions brought natural connection to each frame.
