Bridgewater Corners, VT | Snowy Vermont Wedding at OQ Farm | Vermont Wedding Photographer

I was beyond excited when Gabrielle and Craig connected with me to photograph what turned out to be a very snowy Vermont wedding at OQ Farm in Bridgewater Corners, just outside Woodstock. Their story begins in Texas, where they met and held a relationship for months separated on different sides of the world in different time zones. However, their deep connection and faith carried them to the day they made their lifelong commitment to each other, on a snowy afternoon in early March.

I’d seen OQ Farm on Instagram and had already fallen in love with it before visiting. It offers the quintessential Vermont setting that couples dream of for their New England wedding in any season. Craig and Gabrielle have a personal connection to the farm, and getting married here was meaningful to them. Along with beautiful grounds, couples may rent out the entire property, exchange vows inside the chapel, have a tented reception or gather inside the Refectory.

Gabrielle and Craig planned a wedding from across the country during a month in New England which offers a mixed array of conditions. However, they were just the right couple to weather the several inches of snow that fell across the region the evening before. The fresh snow made for a Vermont winter wonderland setting for their romantic first touch and portraits.

Family and friends arrived ahead of the storm, staying in the modern accommodations at the farm. Gabrielle got ready at the Manse, and Craig, in the Refectory. Both are lovely settings with ample window light for portraits and capturing details. The wedding ceremony was held in the light-filled, warm and cozy chapel.

Cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing was held in the Refectory, which offers a large great room complete with a double-sided fireplace, deck with stunning views, and rustic antler chandelier. The room glowed all evening from the fire, candles, their newly forged union, and wonderful loved ones who traveled to share their wedding with them.

It was a beautiful day for these two even more beautiful souls, and I’m just so happy to know them. Best wishes always, Gabrielle and Craig!
