Family Photo Session at The Fells in Newbury, NH

Capturing a family photo session at the Fells in Newbury, NH—what feels like a secret garden in the NH Lakes Region—is something I adore. The Fells is one of my favorite spots for its quiet beauty and lush gardens. I have photographed families here (including my own), expecting parents, engagements, and weddings in this tranquil garden setting, among the flowers, fields, architecture, and the view of the lake.

It was an ideal setting for this family with young girls and young children in general, as The Fells holds endless sights to pique curiosity. We never stopped moving as the girls were able to wander and explore all there is to see here. It was an overcast day, and we arrived in the afternoon. Without the need to avoid the harsh sun, we were able to photograph everywhere on the grounds, which was a treat. We gazed at the lily pond and tunneled through the epic rhododendrons to the formal gardens. My favorite images from their session were near the estate itself, against the beautiful architecture and the terraced lawn with its varied florals.

Working with this family a second year was such joy, especially bringing them to one of my favorite locations!
