groom kisses bride in rock garden at The Fells

Newbury, NH | The Fells Estate Elegant Boho-Chic Garden Wedding | NH Wedding Photographer

Christina and Mike shared in a sun-filled elegant garden wedding at the John Hay Estate at The Fells in Newbury. The bride, Christina, planned and designed an elegant boho-chic ceremony and reception which she set up the evening before the wedding with help from her sister Melissa, and caterer Nici from Appleseed. Throughout, details burst of pampas grass, gold geometric vases and candleholders, and colorful notes of plum and gold.

The couple and their family-filled wedding party finished getting ready in the beautiful historic library and bridal suite at The Fells. Their ceremony, officiated by a close friend, was held on the rose terrace with its breathtaking view of the mountains and Lake Sunapee.

The grounds at The Fells offer unlimited inspiration for portraits. Among the backdrop of the mountains and lake, we strolled through the fields and gardens, finding golden areas where the sun shined through the trees and illuminated the blooming heather beds. In the rock garden we created timeless images of the newly married couple.

The reception shined with tables topped with golden decor and pampas grass rising from sand-filled vases. Their talented Boston-based band Dalton and the Sheriffs (friends of the couple) had one of the most incredible setups I’ve seen, and a sound and performance just as riveting! Christina and Mike shared a beautiful first dance together and wonderful celebration with family and friends.

I am fortunate to have captured Christina and Mike’s stunning day! I’m excited for the many glowing years ahead of them, and the wonderful family they are forging. My biggest congratulations and wishes to them!
