bride runs over to groom, under pier at Fort Foster, in Kittery Maine

Kittery, Maine | Beach Wedding Portraits

What could be more romantic than a private beach portrait session the evening before your ceremony? Is this the new “first look?” A pre-wedding day portrait session is a great alternative for couples who want to keep with the tradition of seeing each other for the first time at the altar, and spend less time creating portraits after their ceremony.

This is what Meghan and Trever decided to do at Fort Foster in Kittery, Maine. They asked if I could meet them the evening before their ceremony for a portrait session at the beach! This gave us some flexibility on where we held the session, and gave them some time back on their wedding day. We had plenty of undisturbed moments to create these romantic images.

We photographed at Fort Foster with its varied terrain, beaches, rocks, and pier. You can’t go wrong with this spot! We couldn’t have predicted the fog, but I happen to love the the little something extra in the atmosphere of the images.

I still can’t get over the beauty of these portraits! Trever and Meghan were so excited to say their vows after being apart in a long-distance relationship. Make sure you check out their cottage-themed seaside wedding, too!

Grateful for you Meghan and Trever! Loved every moment of your beachy pre-wedding session!
