Cornish, NH | Portrait Session
While I was photographing Charlie’s senior portrait session, I also photographed his sister, Caroline. Both students are remote learning, and given Caroline might not be present for school photos, I photographed her as well. It was a great opportunity to make special images in the comfort of their backyard.
The farther I get into my photography career, the more I enjoy creating classic portraits. While it’s great experience to hold a session in an elaborate location, it really isn’t all that necessary. For most portraits, the composition will be cropped closely on you, as the background falls away in a creamy bokeh, helping you stand out in your photo. I created these images in Caroline’s backyard, which likely made for a comfortable, familiar setting for her. Granted, we had some beautiful foliage and golden light to work with!
I found it tough to choose which favorites to share from her gallery! Also poignant for me is remembering when this young lady was born, and seeing her look so grown up makes each image a treasure.
