Couple walk in front of a pond holding hands during an intimate vermont garden party wedding

Intimate Garden Party Wedding | Vermont Wedding Photographer

I’m swooning over Breanna and Mak’s intimate garden party wedding in Vermont, held on one of those fabled spring days when it feels as though everything has come into bloom at once!

The couple chose to be married in the presence of their immediate family, then take a long honeymoon in Italy. I love the detail they put into their day, incorporating elegant white florals in crystal vases, a pink floral cake and macarons by A-to-Z Cakes that matched the beautiful blooming tree where they had their first look. Their ceremony was held in the bride’s grandparents’ garden under the arbor, a spot where family members had been married before them.

“Just Married” and family portraits were captured at a nearby farm with an idyllic setting of a white barn, large trees, and a pond. It was a gorgeous and quintessentially Vermont backdrop for creating these treasured memories!

We then returned to their reception in the garden, where they enjoyed delicious appetizers, champagne, a catered meal, and each other’s company.

I love photographing both grand affairs and intimate gatherings. I encourage couples to design their wedding with their own priorities in mind. A small gathering can still feel elevated and pack a lot of elegance, like Mak and Breanna’s special day. I was thrilled to have had the honor to witness and document their wedding.
